• Establishing day to day tasks for their team of Software QA personnel
• Coordinating with the Software Development Team
•  Coordination of testing (both internal and external) – includes the formulating of plans, objectives, performing tests, recording results, logging issues and issue resolution
• Researching and instituting QA processes  and procedures on developing coding standards based on external standards
• Develop internal test tools and determine priority of issue resolution from coordination with other departments
• Develop innovative processes, communications, and metrics that result in process improvements and team accountability

Qualifications:

• 5 + years in Software QA or Development
• Supervision Experience (setting goals, determining daily activities)
• Experience in leading test automation initiatives
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Resident of Alberta

Assets:

• Familiarity with modern test technologies and tools such as Selenium
• Ability to evaluate and lead test design and implementation
• Familiarity with all the test-related aspects of the software development life cycle
• Ability to contribute and direct all levels of testing including unit, functional, automation, performance and scalability testing
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) – must be able to effectively convey and discuss complex technical issues
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to interact with customers
